Lanxess relocates Indian production

German chemical maker Lanxess plans to relocate its Indian production of rubber additives from Thane to its site in Jhagadia, where an ion-exchange resins facility is already under construction. Both plants will open in 2010, the company says, at a total cost of about $73 million. According to Lanxess, the new site will employ around 250 people.
