The electrolytic hydrogen developer Lhyfe will receive $162 million in support from the French government for a 100 MW plant near the port city of Le Havre. The project is part of a European initiative to develop hydrogen as a low-carbon energy carrier. Lhyfe’s facility will have the capacity to make 34 metric tons of hydrogen per day and will tap into renewable electrical sources in the area. Lhyfe says it is in talks to supply green hydrogen to Yara International, which operates a fertilizer plant nearby.
