Cabot bought this solar farm next to its carbon black plant in Chiba, Japan.

Cabot Corporation has acquired a solar farm in Chiba, Japan, from Shoko. The installation is adjacent to a Cabot carbon black plant and generates 3,500 MW h of electricity per year, enough for more than 700 homes. The company aims by 2025 to supply twice as much energy to the public as it uses, largely by recovering energy from its manufacturing operations.
