Milliken Chemical Europe has opened a microbiology lab at its Gent, Belgium, technical center to serve buyers of its AlphaSan, a zirconium phosphate-based ceramic ion-exchange resin containing silver. AlphaSan imparts antimicrobial properties to plastics, fibers, foams, and coatings.
