Cryotech Deicing Technology will market corn-derived propanediol to deice airport runways under an agreement with manufacturer DuPont Tate & Lyle Bio Products. Joint-venture partners DuPont and Tate & Lyle say their product "significantly reduces energy use and emissions" compared with propylene glycol-based deicing fluids.
