Chevron Phillips Chemical has completed a 10,000-metric-ton-per-year polyphenylene sulfide plant at its Borger, Texas, site. Now in the commissioning and start-up phase, the plant will double PPS capacity at the site. Much of the output will be sent to Chevron Phillips' compounding facilities in La Porte, Texas, and Kallo, Belgium.
