Evonik EYEs More Isophorone Capacity

Evonik Industries plans to build a new facility for isophorone and isophorone diamine by 2013. The chemicals are used in applications such as paints, composites, and artificial leather. Evonik currently conducts isophorone chemistry in Germany, Belgium, and the U.S. The company says it is considering sites in Southeast Asia and China for the new plant.
