DSM has worked with LH Aviation of Melun, France, to develop a sport aircraft built with a composite of carbon fiber and the Dutch firm’s Aeronite thermoset polyester. The partners say the two-seat LH-10 Ellipse is lighter than similar aircraft made of carbon fiber and epoxy resin. It is capable of flying nearly 60 miles on a gallon of fuel.
