AGC Chemicals Americas, a subsidiary of Japan’s Asahi Glass, has opened a pilot plant for polytetrafluoroethylene compounds in Thorndale, Pa. Located on the site of a commercial-scale PTFE facility, the pilot plant will make small testing and development batches. AGC says the plant will allow it to deliver samples to customers more quickly than from the larger plant.
