Bristol-Myers Squibb has named Giovanni Caforio as its new CEO, effective May 5. He will replace Lamberto Andreotti, who will become chairman of the company’s board. Caforio, currently chief operating officer, joined BMS in 2000 as general manager for Italy. Andreotti joined BMS in 1998. He is also on the board of directors of DuPont.
