The Chinese state-owned oil and chemical firm Sinopec has formed the Energy and Chemical Industry Chain Carbon Footprint Alliance with seven other large Chinese firms, including China National Offshore Oil and PetroChina. The partners hope to establish an improved carbon footprint calculation mechanism for 20 key products by 2027. They also aim to share technical expertise.
