Aptuit acquires services firm

Aptuit, a newly formed drug development services firm, has agreed to purchase Almedica, a clinical trials medical supply company, for an undisclosed sum. Aptuit says it will merge Almedica with business units it obtained earlier this year from Quintiles Transnational in a $125 million acquisition (C&EN, July 25, page 15).
