ExxonMobil Chemical will increase isopropyl alcohol (IPA) capacity at its Baton Rouge, La., plant by about 12% in the first quarter of 2006. The boost, to 380,000 metric tons per year, follows a 2003 expansion. The product is the chemical company's oldest, having been in its portfolio for more than 80 years.
