Arch Sells Stake to Fuji

Arch Chemicals has agreed to sell Fuji Photo Film its 50% stake in the Planar Solutions joint venture with Wacker Chemie. The price is $17 million; Planar had 2004 sales of $25.8 million. Planar makes chemical mechanical planarization slurries used in semiconductor production. Arch sold the bulk of its electronic chemicals business to Fuji in November 2004.
