Novo Nordisk Backs Research In China

Novo Nordisk will contribute $2 million to support research on diabetes and to discover biopharmaceuticals in China through an agreement with the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The partners will study protein chemistry, immunology, inflammation, toxicology, oncology, endocrinology, and drug delivery. In 2002, Novo Nordisk set up a 50-person drug discovery lab in Beijing.
