Credit: Yulex

Yulex has received 510(k) clearance from FDA to market examination gloves made out of rubber extracted from guayule, a desert crop native to the U.S. Southwest. The gloves, according to Yulex, don't contain the proteins associated with allergic reactions to conventional natural rubber. Yulex licensed its rubber technology from USDA's Agricultural Research Service.
