Par Pharmaceutical will reduce the size of its generic drugs operation, eliminating 190 jobs, or nearly 26% of the firm's workforce, by the end of next year. Par, which has its headquarters in Woodcliff Lake, N.J., says it will focus on products already in development and will accelerate investment in its proprietary drugs subsidiary, Strativa Pharmaceuticals.
