At a new lab, a Wacker scientist tests the scrub resistance of paints based on the firm's vinyl acetate ethylene polymers.

Wacker Chemie has completed a $1.4 million expansion of its technical center in Shanghai's Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park. The expansion doubles floor space to 3,400 m2. The company now has 10 labs at the facility dedicated to silicone and polymer applications.
