Sanofi To Close Plant In England

Sanofi will shut its finished-pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in Newcastle, England, by 2015, eliminating 450 jobs. In a statement, the company said the decision was based on a challenging business climate for pharmaceuticals characterized by increased competition from low-cost generic drugs.
