Dow Buys Solar Partner NuvoSun

Dow Chemical has acquired NuvoSun, a Milpitas, Calif.-based producer of thin-film copper indium gallium selenide solar cells, for an undisclosed sum. Dow has been an equity investor in the firm since January 2010. NuvoSun provides the solar component for Dow’s Powerhouse Solar Shingle, now selling in six states including California and New York.
