William R. Newman, Distinguished Professor and Ruth Halls Professor of History & Philosophy of Science at Indiana University, Bloomington, is the winner of the 2013 HIST Award of the ACS Division of the History of Chemistry.

The award consists of an engraved plaque and a check for $1,500. It will be presented to Newman at the fall 2013 ACS national meeting in Indianapolis.
