Fujifilm says its new plant will primarily utilize single-use reactors.

Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies has opened a mammalian cell culture facility in Teesside, En­gland. The contract manufacturing plant was commissioned with 200-L and 1,000-L bioreactors; a 2,000-L reactor is scheduled to be added next year. The new biologics capacity is part of a $48 million investment in manufacturing for Diosynth in Teesside and Research Triangle Park, N.C.
