Teams in the China Basketball Association will wear uniforms made from chemically recycled polyester produced by Japan’s Teijin. Jiaren, a joint venture of Teijin and Jinggong Holding Group, is scheduled to start producing Teijin’s Eco Circle fiber in May 2014. Used polyester clothing that is chemically decomposed is the feedstock for Eco Circle (C&EN, Dec. 17, 2012, page 23).
