Linde has invested an undisclosed sum in a 40-metric-ton-per-year disilane unit just completed in Upper Mount Bethel Township, Pa., by electronic materials maker Voltaix. The partners say that the disilane, a silicon precursor, will be used to produce advanced memory and microprocessor chips. The two firms are also discussing plans to build disilane capacity in Asia.
