SK Gas Plans Propylene Plant

South Korea’s SK Gas plans to spend $890 million to build a propylene plant. A major importer of liquified petroleum gas, SK plans to start operating a 600,000-metric-ton propane dehydrogenation unit by 2016 in Ulsan, South Korea. Ulsan is the site of an import terminal for SK where the company owns what it claims is the world’s largest underground storage facilities.
