Procter & Gamble plans to use cellulosic ethanol produced by DuPont in its Tide Cold Water laundry detergent. P&G has long added ethanol to Tide as a solvent. It says the cellulosic ethanol, to be made in a DuPont facility now under construction in Nevada, Iowa, will improve the sustainability of the detergent without compromising its performance.
