Formosa Will Add Texas Polypropylene

Formosa Plastics plans to build a polypropylene plant at its Point Comfort, Texas, site. The facility will be the first of its kind in the U.S. in many years, the Taiwanese company says. Formosa is already building an ethylene cracker and propane dehydrogenation plant in Point Comfort. The firm isn’t releasing details about the plant’s capacity, start-up date, cost, or technology.
