Scientific instrument maker Thermo Fisher Scientific has opened its new global headquarters in Waltham, Mass. The 27,000-m2 facility was constructed with energy-saving materials, making it eligible for silver certification under the LEED rating system of the U.S. Green Building Council. The building now houses 330 employees.
