Sensient, a colors, flavors, and fragrances firm based in Milwaukee, has acquired the natural colors business of Peru’s GlobeNatural for an undisclosed sum. Sensient says 80% of global food launches use natural colors or food ingredients that are added for color. GlobeNatural’s coloring sources include cochineal, annatto, turmeric, anthocyanins, and chlorophyll.
