Aceto has acquired the affiliated companies Biotron Laboratories and Talus Mineral, which make ingredients for the nutritional supplement industry. Based in Salt Lake City, the firms specialize in mineral chelates using an amino acid–based chelation process. Aceto has bought several small firms in the pharmaceutical ingredient and specialty material sectors since the beginning of 2021, including Cascade Chemistry, Finar, and Syntor Fine Chemicals.
