Arxada makes a second acquisition

Arxada, the Lonza specialty chemical business purchased in July by the private equity firms Bain Capital and Cinven, has acquired the biocide specialist Enviro Tech Chemical Services for an undisclosed sum. Enviro Tech is a major producer of peracetic acid, viewed as an environmentally sustainable alternative to chlorine in industries such as food and beverage sanitation. The deal is Arxada’s second since being sold by Lonza. It announced plans in November to merge with the antimicrobial firm Troy.
