Cray Valley sells styrenic copolymers to Polyscope

Total’s Cray Valley unit, a maker of additives, has completed the sale of its styrene maleic anhydride copolymers business to Dutch competitor Polyscope Polymers. The two reached a deal on the transfer in December 2018. Cray Valley’s copolymers are used in inks and coatings and in photoresist materials for printed circuit boards. Polyscope says the addition of Cray Valley’s low-molecular-weight copolymers strengthens its position in engineering plastics and specialty polymers.
