DuPont terminates Rogers purchase

DuPont is calling off its $5.2 billion purchase of electronic materials maker Rogers Corporation, originally unveiled about a year ago, noting that it was “unable to obtain timely clearance” from regulators. In September, DuPont said it had all the country approvals that it needed except for one from the Chinese government. DuPont must now pay Rogers a $162.5 million termination fee for canceling the deal. Separately, DuPont has completed the $11 billion sale of its engineering polymer business to Celanese.
