SK Capital to acquire PolyOne polymer compounds business

The investment firm SK Capital Partners has agreed to acquire PolyOne’s Performance Products and Solutions business in a deal valued at about $775 million. With annual sales of about $700 million, the business makes polyvinyl chloride and polypropylene compounds at 12 sites in North America and Asia. PolyOne plans to focus on its three remaining businesses in engineered materials; color, additives, and inks; and distribution.
