Huntsman readies carbon nanotube plant in Texas

Huntsman has begun construction on a pilot plant near San Antonio, Texas, that will convert methane to carbon nanotubes and hydrogen. The 30-metric-ton-per-year facility is set to open by the end of the year and will be one of the largest nanotube facilities in the Americas, according to Huntsman. The firm envisions colocating such facilities on customers’ sites.
