Solvay names new CEO

Ilham Kadri

Ilham Kadri will join Solvay on Jan. 1, 2019, and will succeed Jean-Pierre Clamadieu as chair and CEO after a two-month transition period. Kadri, currently CEO of the hygiene services firm Diversey, is a chemical engineer and has a Ph.D. in physical chemistry from École des Hauts Polymères de Strasbourg. She has also worked for Dow Chemical, Huntsman, UCB, and Shell.
