Novozymes renames itself Novonesis

The Danish enzymes producer Novozymes has changed its name to Novonesis after the completion last week of its $11.3 billion acquisition of Chr. Hansen, a Danish developer of natural ingredients for foods, drugs, and agriculture. Novonesis is a hybrid of the Latin-derived “novo,” meaning new, and the Greek word “genesis,” meaning origin or beginning, the company says.
