Arkema to buy adhesive powders firm Fixatti

Specialty chemical maker Arkema is acquiring the thermobonding adhesives firm Fixatti for an undisclosed sum. Fixatti will become part of the adhesives maker Bostik, which Arkema purchased from Total in 2015. Fixatti’s products are used in construction, technical coatings, batteries, automobiles, and textile printing. The firm employs 180 people across two sites in Europe and one in China. It had $63 million in sales last year.
