Otsuka to buy Mindset Pharma

Otsuka Pharmaceutical will purchase Toronto-based Mindset Pharma, which was founded in 2019, for $58.6 million in cash. The acquisition will bring the Japanese firm Mindset’s expertise in psychiatric and neurological disorders, including work on serotonin 5-HT2A agonists for treating depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. The companies expect to complete the deal in the fourth quarter.
