Germany’s Origin Bio secures funding

German synthetic biology start-up Origin Bio has raised $15 million from venture capital investors. Origin Bio will use the money to develop fermentation-based technologies for making materials, including ingredients for personal care, food, and agriculture products. It will also invest in increasing its workforce. Origin Bio uses artificial intelligence and automation to create novel organisms that efficiently make target molecules.
